Singing Contest Avengers

As we have singing champions in the OPM industry today, we can't deny the fact that they had a hard time reaching their goal because of competitors. These are their fellow contestants who are also vying for the title. In reality, there are what we say "contest losers" but after the competition sometimes, they make a bigger mark in the industry. This blog will showcase singers who become album best sellers as well eventhough they were not declared as big winners.

Aicelle Santos
She is declared as the "Undefeated Pinoy Pop Superstar". However she only landed as First Runner Up in Pinoy Pop Superstar Season 2 after she was beaten by Gerald Santos. She is a mainstay of SOP Rules and the group La Diva every Sunday noon.



Brenan Espartinez
He is the First Runner Up in Pinoy Pop Superstar Season 1. He was the little boy in Sineskwela. After he won in PPS Season 1, he continued his singing carer and won different awards in WCOPA in 2006.



Ronnie Liang
Ronnie Liang is very familiar in singing contests. First, he was sighted in Pinoy Pop Superstar Season 1, although he was disqualified. When he joined Pinoy Dream Academy Season 1, he became 2nd Runner Up and grab a contarct with ABS-CBN. He is being loved for his sweet smile and nice voice.



Mark Bautista
He is a product of Star For A Night where Sarah Geronimo won. They were being paired at first but eventually, he decided to work seperately to build his own image. He is a mainstay of ASAP in ABS-CBN.



Sheryn Regis
It was a dissapointment for Sheryn when she placed First Runner Up after Erik Santos in Star In A Million Season 1 because as all of us know, she is also undefeated for the initial weeks and a consistent top scorer in the said contest. Because of her vocal prowess, she was hailed for different titles such as "The Power Belter" and "The Crystal Voice Of Asia" after wining First Runner Up in the Asian Song Festival last 2004 in Kazakhstan.



Christian Bautista
I must say the Christian Bautista was never a loser. This is because he made it big in the industry. He is also a product of Star In A Million Season 1. Because of his voice, he was named "The Romantic Balladeer". His album was also a big hit in Indonesia.
