Youtube Wonders

YOUTUBE... a website where you can upload and watch your own videos. This website has a lot of visitors from time to time just to watch videos and comment as well. If you upload your video, the whole world has access to that already, even the video has been taken in a small place, if it is catchy, definitely, it would create a craze and people would go to this website just to see what is catchy in a particular video. That is what happened to two of our Filipino singers, Charice and Arnel Pineda. Both of them were discovered in Youtube and they become become instant world-class performers.

CHARICE
Charice started joining singing contest at the age of seven in barrios and town fiestas. In 2005, she joined Little Big Star and she landed as third place in the said contest. She taught that this is the end of her singing career. Thanks to FalseVoice, her avid fan who posted her videos on Youtube in 2007. She was invited in Korea to perform in the show Star King. She sang the song "And I'm Telling You" however she change the word man to mom to pay tribute to her mother.

After the Star King appearance, she guested in Ellen Degeneres show. Here is her appearance:

She was also invited by Ophra Winfrey to perform in her show:

Because of her appearances, she was invited by David Foster to perform in a tribute concert in Las Vegas where she met top artists like Josh Groban, Alicia keys and many more. Because of her phenomenal success, she able to met her idol divas such as Mariah Carey and Celine Dion. The last big event in her singing career was when she was invited in the inauguration of Preseident Barrack Obama. You can also see Charice performing in ASAP in ABS-CBN.

ARNEL PINEDA
Arnel Pineda is another product of Youtube. He became a member of the band called Ijos when he was 15 years old. Thanks to Noel Gomez because he is the one responsible for the videos of Arnel Pineda to be posted in Youtube. In June 28, 2007, Neal Schon contacted Gomez and advsd him to tell Pineda that they want him to audition for the band Journey. On December 5, 2007, he was announced as the new lead singer of the said band. Their last concert recently was a big hit at the SMX at the Mall Of Asia.

Thanks to Youtube for the chance of a lifetime given to these two world-class talents! More power to the both of you, Charice and Arnel Pineda! You are truly Youtube Wonders!!!
